With a slight name change, The Trials of Cate McCall (formerly Cate McCullough) will begin filming today. The movie stars Kate as a former hotshot prosecutor who became an addict and lost her career in the process. In an effort to regain her career, and to win back custody of her daughter, she takes on the appeal of a woman wrongfully convicted of murder. The film also stars Nick Nolte and James Cromwell and is being directed by Karen Moncrieff, from her own script.

Underworld: Awakening DVD release
Posted by Miss P • On May 07, 2012 • No Responses

Finally! :D
Underworld: Awakening, the latest instalment in the vampire saga, is out today on DVD, Blu-Ray, Blu-Ray 3D and Movies on Demand on Cable. I can only encourage you to buy/rent it as the better the film does, the more chances we have of getting an Underworld 5… and we know it can’t just end like this!

While we wait for news I can give you this promising tidbit from India Eisley (Eve’s) Movieweb interview to promote the DVD release, and scroll down for two featurettes excerpts from the Blu-Ray, also courtesy of Movieweb.

Moveiweb: Have they discussed with you how involved you’re going to be in the upcoming sequels? Are they looking at you to kind of take over the franchise?

India Eisley: Oh, god! (Laughs) The one thing I like about the films as a whole is that this is more of an ensemble thing. Even one and two, though they are predominantly about Kate Beckinsale…There are so many different characters in 1 and 2, so its incredibly balanced. To have a film that is based solely on Eve is something that kind of terrifies me. (Laughs) Not in a bad way. But, because, things are more interesting when there is a bunch of people bouncing off each other. There have been talks. I’m not allowed to say much. I do look forward to working with all of them again.

Now for the freebies, Superglued/Complex magazine are holding an Underworld: Awakening DVD giveaway, so tweet away for your chance to win $1500 or one of 10 Awakening DVDs. Additionally, try your luck to win a DVD from the Daily Blam website (contest ends today!) and radios V103, K-hits and Q95. Good luck!

Is this the conclusion of Underworld?
